Dr. Dawne Washington, PhD

Dr. Dawne Washington is a psychology consultant and author with a focus on cognitive distortion, cross-cultural studies, and positive psychology. She holds a Ph.D. in International Psychology with a concentration in Organizations and Systems from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology, earned in 2020. Her dissertation centered on positive youth development and behavioral change in impoverished communities, with fieldwork conducted in Peru, South Africa, and Jamaica .

She is the author of Changing Uncertainty Through Hope: How Positive Psychology Supports Marginalized Communities, which explores the application of positive psychology principles to support marginalized populations. Dr. Washington also published Free to Be Nzuri which is a children’s book that explores the experience of feeling different and the universal need for inclusion. The story is told from a child’s perspective, highlighting the importance of understanding and embracing diversity in various environments. It serves as a valuable resource for educators, parents, and therapists aiming to foster empathy and inclusivity among children.

Professionally, Dr. Washington serves as the CEO of Brown Girl’s Vision, LLC and has been a psychology consultant with the Nigerian-based Egodima Foundation since 2020. She also contributed as a staff writer for Nubian News .

Dr. Houria Manouzi, PhD

Dr. Houria Saïd Manouzi is a distinguished psychology consultant with a robust background in international and cultural psychology. She holds a Ph.D. in International/Cultural Psychology with an emphasis in Trauma Informed Care and a Master’s in Business Administration. Dr. Manouzi is also certified in several professional areas, including Project Management Professional (PMP), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), and Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) .  

Beyond her professional certifications, Dr. Manouzi owns a 501(c) 3 non-profit, Bet on Change, LLC, which focuses on uplifting people’s lives. As an expert in autism, her organization works with people with intellectual disabilities. She is deeply committed to humanitarian efforts. Dr. Manouzi serves on the board of the Khair Initiative, a nonprofit organization based in Lorton, Virginia, dedicated to promoting education and healthcare for underprivileged households . 

Dr. Manouzi’s multifaceted expertise and dedication to cross-cultural collaboration and community empowerment make her a notable figure in both the professional and humanitarian sectors.
